Life As A New Houseman

Time flies...it had been about 1month plus since i started to work as houseman in HSI.
It was not easy to be a house officer.

Prolonged lethargy, dehydration, LOW >3kg in 1month, voluntary urinary retention with the risk of renal stone formation in future, and prolonged starvation....
Most of us felt depressed when facing our daily life ahead.

U had no more public holiday /weekend as in those sweet university life. Off day is an luxury. As i am renting room outside, every off day is the day that i washes my clothes, cleaning my room and topping up all daily necessaries...6days in a week i am busying in hospital, while the only off day i will be busying in the room and made preparation for the next 6days. How pathetic...

But remember, be strong. Life never be easy. U will not appreciate how wonderful happiness is without enduring suffers in life. Think positive and be happy for what you had done. Throw away those negative thought.

A smile, a warm handshake, 2words thank you, or they slowly recovering from their illness make us happy. At least they make me happy. I somehow can find joy inside it. At this point, i  still love my jobs, but do i able to keep moving on? I believe and I hope I CAN.

Some interesting "theories" in hospital based on my observation:

Certain people ---- King/ Queen of Jonah ( full spirit of jonahness) attract pt whenever they are

Certain people-----moderate/mild jonah

Certain people-----not jonah at all

Certain people-----anti-Jonah properties (if their anti power >>>king/queen of jonah. jonahness can      be supressed)

Certain people-----anti back home Jonah (normally not jonah, but jonah started on almost shift end)
